Launch Manager (Security)
What You Will Do
As the critical business partner for the Plant Manager, you will ensure and deliver the successful launch of new products and processes in the assigned plant. Your main responsibilities will include:
Overseeing all non-recurring events and deliverables associated with the launch of a new plant, process, or product.
Planning and executing critical deliverables as defined in D3, CMS, and Glidepath Launch Methodology.
Holding contractors and internal launch team accountable for performance to scope, timing, and budget targets.
Achieving all program launch targets – Safety, Quality, Delivery, and financial (0-0-100-100-30).
Meeting scorecard items related to Launch Management and LRR readiness review meetings.
How You Will Do It
Coordinate the identification of the launch team and work with functional managers to identify training needs and create training plans.
Drive the launch team to take responsibility for each functional area of the start-up per the Glidepath workbook.
Coach and motivate the launch team to encourage ownership and responsibility for activities within the project team.
Facilitate off-cycle issue-focused meetings to resolve specific launch problems prior to Program and/or Launch Readiness Reviews.
Manage RED FLAG issues that jeopardize scope, timing, or cost of the launch in accordance with the RED FLAG protocol.
Act as the key interface between SDT and the plant launch team to achieve the program's targets on time, cost, quality, and manufacturing feasibility.
What We Look For
Required
At least 3-5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge and proficiency in Glidepath / D3.
Experience in Engineering/Process and Program Management, including at least one product launch and/or significant plant expansion or Greenfield launch.
Qualifications:
Experience in Manufacturing Operations.
Knowledge of Quality Management (PPAP/APQP).
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing (CMS).
Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, and Outlook
