Maintenance Technician (Maintenance)

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting scheduled and unplanned maintenance activities on all facility equipment in support of manufacturing operations.
Safety & Regulatory:

Understands and complies with Cal-OSHA regulations and company specific safety procedures.
Complies with all company food safety and quality management policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Executes scheduled and preventative maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or CMMS system (MaintainX).
Responds to unplanned maintenance related issues, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment to reduce downtime.
Safely and competently operates, maintains, and attends to facility steam boilers including feed water system, burners, vessel, and chemical treatment equipment.
Must learn general operation of all plant production equipment.
Provides coverage for machine operators during lunch and break periods.
Demonstrates a commitment to safety and awareness via maintenance actions and facility support.
Works with the Quality department to ensure maintenance related compliance to the food safety management system.
Completes work with attention to detail, and a cooperative, respectful attitude.
Occasionally oversees or assists with work conducted by vendors/contractors.
Effectively communicates with machine operators and managers in all departments.
Appropriately documents all work performed in appropriate system.
Other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
