Account Executive, Corporate Health (Finance)

Edelman is seeking an Account Executive to join our growing Healthcare team! While experience in healthcare is a plus, this role will primarily focus on corporate communications strategies for a leading pharmaceutical company.

Edelman's Health Sector team provides a wide array of communications services to a diversified portfolio of healthcare clients. We help clients promote their brands and policy positions, protect their reputations and license to operate, and influence public perceptions and policy outcomes - from executive visibility and media relations to crisis preparedness, financial communications, and stakeholder engagement.

In this role, the Account Executive will have the opportunity to work across an integrated team and deepen their expertise in corporate communications while collaborating with colleagues who bring industry-specific knowledge, including healthcare, financial services, executive positioning, public affairs, and more.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of multiple projects from conception to completion, anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence
• Build relationship with clients and colleague at all levels
• Contribute to creation of communications plans that meet client objectives
• Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content often under tight timelines and with competing priorities
• Develop media monitoring reports under tight deadlines, summarizing key insights and flagging opportunities or issues in real-time
• Maintain and regularly update client status trackers, ensuring all deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities are accurately documented. Commit to continuous learning and improvement of skills; set and pursue stretch goals
• Supervise staff junior to you by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback
• Aid in new business process including idea contribution, research and proposal preparation

Basic Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used as well as solid research, writing and editing skills.
• The ability to develop relationship with media and apply experience and initiative in developing traditional and digital media relations strategies.

$55,000 - $68,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
