The Level 3 Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing troubleshooting, installation, equipment repairs, continuous improvement and preventative / daily maintenance of production and facility equipment. This position applies mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify manufacturing machinery and equipment
Hours are 6am - 2pm, Mon - Fri - -with occasional work on Sat.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Promotes job safety, and is an active participant in the development of plant safety goals, policies and procedures • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities • Inspect, set-up and adjust machine rolls; embossing and die rolls • Accurately troubleshoot common mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues • Respond to all breakdowns quickly and perform repairs correctly while performing quality work • Check and review work orders and complete tasks on a priority basis • Develop process capability changes to improve quality, reduce scrap and increase productivity • Perform basic electrical preventative maintenance checks • Operate forklift, aerial lift, tow motor, tractors, and other facility vehicles safely • Participate in cross-functional project groups • Demonstrate high levels of good housekeeping practices • Participate in the management and maintenance of the parts inventory system, including research to determine parts required • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs • Ability to work occasional weekends along with participating in the maintenance on-call program. Education & Experience • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. • 4-6 years related experience and/or training in manufacturing. • 3-5 years related experience and/or training in maintenance. • Fork / Aerial Lift Certified. • Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing machinery / equipment.
