Mail Processing Clerk (Administrative)
Open envelopes manually or using machinery as required.
Mail Examination:
Examine mail for processing and follow client instructions meticulously.
Record-Keeping:
Record dollar amounts on mail for processing either manually or using machines.
Batch Management:
Batch work according to established guidelines.
Quality Control:
Run and label a calculator tape of dollar amounts for selected batches upon Team Coordinator request.
Conduct quality control checks on circulated work as requested by the Team Coordinator and log information accordingly.
Production Maintenance:
Maintain production requirements set by clients.
Training and Support:
Assist in training and developing new team members.
Report team-related issues to the Team Coordinator for review.
Qualifications:
Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Possess basic problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands:
Regularly sit and use hands for handling mail.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities such as close vision are required.
Work Environment:
The work environment fosters a team atmosphere focused on processing and depositing mail.
Noise level is typically moderate.
