What You will do
We are looking for an Associate Manager, Investment Operations to join our Alternative Assets - Portfolio Administration and Accounting team which is part of PGIM Global Services.
The Alternative Assets Portfolio Administration and Accounting team primarily supports Prudential Fixed Income, Quantitative Management Group, Finance, Performance Reporting, Prudential Capital Group, Prudential Mortgage Capital Company, Prudential Real Estate Investors, Prudential Global Funding, the Community Resources Development, and the Prudential Foundation.
As an Associate Manager in the Private Equity Accounting Unit, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing investment, accounting, reporting, and record-keeping systems. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring a controlled and efficient working environment, making a significant impact on the success of Prudential's business units. This position is based in one of our offices in Tampa, Florida or Newark, NJ and will follow a hybrid schedule (3 days in office). Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.
What you can expect
You will be responsible for reviewing the financial statements of Limited Partnerships/Joint Ventures
Supervising a small team of approximately 2-3 accountants and providing feedback and guidance.
Timely and accurate review of accounting entries and ledger reconciliation
Understanding the STAT and GAAP accounting rules for the Other Invested Assets
Coordinate and monitor all daily and monthly deliverables.
Participate in various analysis and special projects.
Monitor data integrity.
External and Internal audit review and support.
Overtime required during peak periods.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
6+ years of experience in Accounting/Investment Operations with supervisory experience is required.
Detailed oriented with ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work in a deadline oriented and fast paced environment.
Strong Leadership skills
Strong accounting, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and partnering skills.
Proficient in Excel
Ability to understand and analyze basic accounting principles and financial statements.
What will set you apart?
Public accounting experience and/or CPA a plus
Private Equity experience a plus
Strong familiarity with Prudential systems a plus (Oracle ledger, Investran, MRI)

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $85,000 to $105,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
