Director Retail Store Operations (Sales)
2. Responsible for the professional development of our associates.
3. Supports the implementation of company programs and initiatives, methods and practices to promote Goodwill Core Values.
4. Develops strategic and operational plans for the workgroup, managing execution and measuring results.
5. Leads the assigned retail locations annual budgeting process and monthly review to ensure accuracy in financial goal setting.
6. Oversees assigned new store preparation and planning includes: financials, staffing plan, merchandising plan, floor layout, fixture procurement, production needs.
7. Prepares, communicates, and educates team members on changes in policies and practices.
8. Analyzes daily, monthly reports to support key business decisions.
9. Understands key drivers and fundamental best practices to ensure consistency throughout the Retail Operations organization.
10. Provides partners with coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities to build effective teams.
11. Ensures the timely execution of assigned performance management, check ins, appraisals.
12. Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and make effective staffing decisions.
13. Pursues personal development in all areas of responsibility: share knowledge and skills with others.
14. Champions "Values Based Leadership" and partners with leaders to identify "Values in Action." Lives our core values.
15. Represents Goodwill in the community by actively participating in partnerships, memberships, and relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position has supervisory responsibility for designated associates in their department.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. 5 Years' experience in a related field required. No professional certifications are required for this position. Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required. Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass both state and federal criminal background checks and sex offender check. Ability to operate PC and databases, proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
