Litigation Paralegal (Global and US) (Finance)
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational and project management skills. Experience with litigation support tools/applications such as Relativity, DiliTrust, Legal Tracker. Degree or paralegal certificate is required.
What will you do?
As a member of Schneider Electric's Legal Team, you will join a talented and collaborative group of in-house lawyers and other legal professionals, directly supporting the Assistant General Counsel responsible for all U.S. commercial litigation and the Head of Global Litigation responsible for litigation across the Company. The Legal Team is looking for a paralegal to be based in Foxboro, Andover or Boston whose responsibilities and essential functions will include, but are not limited, to the following:
• Work with managing attorney to create and manage document databases;
• Conduct internal searches for responsive documents and project information;
• Manage large-scale document collection and production, including privilege review, tracking of documents, and document organization;
• Regular updates of case progression in legal reporting system (DiliTrust);
• Maintain data related to litigation trends globally, and legal spend with external counsel;
• Assist with global litigation reporting and collection of information from Regional General Counsels regarding significant or material claims;
• Assist with response to subpoenas, collection and preparation of materials including, but not limited to Government subpoenas, third party subpoenas, document collection and setting up/maintaining storage databases;
• Prepare responses to Request for Information in connection with project bids as it pertains to active or prior litigations;
• Respond to routine correspondence, memoranda, subpoenas, summons, and other legal documents for attorneys;
• Manage calendar and systems to assist in meeting action and response deadlines;
• Communicate, interact and coordinate with all members of the legal team, including, Litigation Support, IT, administrative assistants and office services;
• Communicate, correspond and interact with outside counsel and internal entities, such as, law firms to gather information or data;
• Perform other related duties and projects as required.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
• Prior experience as a paralegal, or in a related role.
• Experience managing global litigation is a plus.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and superior organization and communication skills.
• Proficiency and high aptitude with computer skills, such as the Microsoft Office suite of software, Microsoft Teams, Adobe, and DiliTrust Governance or a similar subsidiary management database.
• Demonstrated understanding of handling confidential or sensitive matters
