Victim Advocate & Violence Prevention Coordinator (Finance)
This dual-role position is based on the St. Petersburg campus and will serve as both an advocate and prevention coordinator:
This role is classified as Essential Personnel for USF, St. Petersburg, in matters related to health, wellness, and emergency response. The position includes an on-call component, with some evening and weekend hours required. Onboarding will take place on the Tampa campus, necessitating transportation to Tampa for approximately the first six weeks.MINIMUM: Each position in this classification requires specialized training at the Bachelor's or Master's degree level in Social Work, Public Health, Criminology, Psychology, Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies, or a related field relevant to the program's focus. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, while a Master's degree may substitute for this requirement. Certain program areas may require or prefer specific certifications or licensure based on the role's responsibilities.
PREFERRED: Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Criminology, Psychology, Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies, or a related field; and 1 - 3 years of work experience, with at least six months of experience in victim services or prevention education. This position will provide comprehensive support to students, faculty, and staff who have experienced crime, violence, or abuse, including intimate partner, sexual, and digital violence, harassment, and stalking. Services will be delivered through an empowerment-based, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes confidentiality and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Call & After-Hours Expectations:
This position will participate in a rotating on-call schedule (shared across OneUSF advocates) to provide after-hours support for students experiencing urgent needs. This includes responding to victims in immediate crisis and providing accompaniment when reporting to University Law Enforcement across all three campuses during nights and weekends as needed. Virtual accompaniment is available, if necessary, for off-campus law enforcement reporting and forensic medical exams.
Due to the nature of on-call responsibilities, access to reliable transportation is required.

Violence Prevention
This position will play a key role in St. Petersburg campus-wide violence prevention efforts through education, outreach, and program development. Using a primary prevention framework, this role will empower students as active change-makers, helping to create a safer USF community. Programming will be tailored to address campus needs and enhance engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Tasks
This role involves managing administrative tasks such as securing room reservations, submitting event and purchase requests, tracking attendance and outreach data, and identifying budgetary needs while utilizing university systems, including Maxient, Archivum, and OASIS/Banner, for case documentation and program management. Responsibilities also include maintaining referral and educational resources, staying informed on Title IX, Student Conduct & Ethical Development, and Student Outreach & Support (SOS) policies, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical record-keeping standards. Additionally, this position may represent the office on St. Petersburg campus committees.
