What do you get to do in this position?
• Ability to plan resources, analyze methods and movements, machinery efficiency, product design, process design and equipment or fixture design.
• Identify and develop improvement projects in the areas of safety, ergonomics, quality, and productivity using lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, and automation.
• Create digital work instructions and / or operating procedures for manual assembly and equipment that meet the guidelines of safety, quality, lean manufacturing, and ergonomics.
• Develop new or modify existing production layouts, using AUTOCAD, time studies, & capacity analysis.
• Coordinate the implementation of Smart Factory tools such as Automatic Data Collection, Digital Score Cards (SIM), Vision Systems, along with engineering changes, 3F's and pilot runs.
• Evaluate, validate, and implement process design alternatives to create optimum systems for manual assembly, semi-automated and automated processes.
• Coordinate and/or participate in the development and updating of the PFMEA's and control plans.
• Design, develop and fabricate Poka Yoke and Jidokafixtures.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to effectively manage Engineering/Manufacturing change orders.
• Work with external contractors as needed.
• Lead & coordinate technical roles.
• Work with projects across multiple time zones.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiative in the plant.
