A Brief Overview

The internship a hands-on role within the R&D Hardware Engineering group helping to develop and troubleshoot Energy Based Devices that provide ultrasonic therapy. The expectation is that the intern will support the current engineering team with projects and tasks related to Material Science lab investigations, material testing, and may also include designing fixtures and tooling.

General testing using the Ultherapy Ultrasound devices will be done with opportunity to explore the application and design of the system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow written instructions to perform assembly or test plan.
• Design, test, and verify designs and 3D printed prototype assemblies.
• Collect, tabulate, and analyze data, as well as communicate experimental setup and results to technical staff.
• Support engineering in other duties, such as running testing, writing specifications, test plans, and test reports
• Search and evaluation project – activities may include some, or all, of the following:

Education (Preferred Majors)

• Required:
  • Rising Junior & Rising Senior in a Bachelor's Degree (in Engineer or Relevant Majors)
• Preferred:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MBA, MS/PhD)

Minimum Qualifications

• Required:
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Capable of soldering electronics.
  • Experience with Solidworks CAD
  • Ability to perform mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to use calipers and record measurements.
  • Ability to writing test plans and reports documenting findings.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work independently as required
• Preferred:
  • Experience in the use and operation of 3D printers.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks CAD
  • Know how to use a Lathe or Milling Machine.
  • Experience driving projects to completion
