Initial QA Technician (Information Technology)
Perform initial inspections on manufactured jewelry parts and components to ensure quality.
Visually detect defects using a head visor or individual eye loop.
Make judgment calls on the severity of defects and the potential for future processing.
Select the appropriate codes when products do not meet acceptable standards.
Use inventory management system to process components, including assigning them to a job, rejecting them, or updating them to the next location.
Physically move products throughout the department as needed.
Match inventory components with their corresponding jobs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic computer skills for processing orders and updating systems.
Basic math skills for accurate counting and verification of quantities.
Ability to view and handle small parts with precision.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Capable of sitting for the majority of the work shift.
Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in quality assurance or a related field.
Familiarity with Oracle or other inventory management systems.
