The Corporate Communications Specialist works as part of the Equifax Corporate Communications team, partnering primarily with our Technology and Security Centers of Excellence to further external visibility for patented Equifax innovation, Security leadership, and the company's global Cloud transformation. This individual develops, writes, and publishes content for Equifax internal and external channels, working as a steward of the company's brand voice and Communications guidelines. The Specialist reports to the Social Media Leader, operating in close coordination with the Internal Communications and the Enterprise Content teams.
This position works from our state-of-the-art global Headquarters in Midtown with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. (This is NOT a fully-remote role.) What You'll Do:
Develop concise written communications for the Technology and Security teams in the form of Newsroom stories for Equifax.com, LinkedIn posts and other external-facing materials.
Create short-form content for the Equifax intranet to extend external communications activities to internal audiences.
Support Technology and Security speaking and award engagements.
Work collaboratively across our global Communications and Marketing teams to support projects and initiatives with Technology and Security content.
What Experience You Need:
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in content development, professional writing, social media or public relations.
Strong writing skills with the ability to adjust voice and approach for a variety of audiences, including social media.
Keen attention to detail, knowledge of AP Style, and a deadline driven approach to content creation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team based environment within a heavily matrixed organization.
What Could Set You Apart:
Experience working in technology/IT industry corporate communications role(s).
Experience with and strong knowledge of Social Media tools (Sprout Social, Meltwater, Canva, Bit.ly, etc.)
