Position Summary Statement
The Mo-Bull program planner is a professional who promotes, develops, coordinates and/or evaluates programs and services provided by an established USF CON program to meet the needs of a community or group served by the program. The program planner participates in the management of resources and the delivery of services to clients, development of promotional materials, workshops and informational sessions, and the analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness. This position serves as a liaison between community and USF CON partners to support the overall mission of the institute, center or program.
The Mo-Bull program planner will be responsible for administrative functions that support efficient patient care, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verifications, medical records management and referrals. The program planner responds to patient inquiries and manages the daily clinic schedule of the Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic before, during and after the patient visits.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and two years of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

Processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc. Accurately and concisely documents patient feedback and special needs to clinicians. Consistently checks records for missing data and inaccuracies and executes solutions. Manages data for grant reports as needed.
Greets patients as they arrive, manages wait time, and processes walk-up patients. Assists patients with intake processes. Verifies insurance and collects co-payments, as appropriate. Processes patient checkout, including scheduling follow-up appointments and providing referral information. Answers patients inquiries via email, text messages, phone calls, patient portals, etc. Ensures all correspondence is scanned and filed appropriately. Produces and distributes correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms. Assists the Director of Clinical Practice, APRNs, and College of Nursing Faculty with a collection of research data, as approved by the College. Assists the practice with collecting and sharing patient insurance data, insurance verification, and other reimbursement issues with University Medical Service Association (UMSA).
Develop program activities in support of overall program mission and regularly evaluate current activities. May have occasional or frequent travel to deliver client services, conduct presentations and workshops, meet with funding source representatives, or for other purposes required to support the program. Manage daily operations including participant or client scheduling, purchasing, and record requests. Work collaboratively with community partners, funding organizations, and the university to assess community needs. Coordinate with community service providers and vendors any aspects of a project that will be contracted out.
Develop informational materials for promotion and marketing of all workshops and activities being offered, including newsletters, pamphlets, and web postings. Develop data collection methods for statistical database, such as workshop evaluation questions to determine impact. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program effectiveness. May research new funding sources and opportunities (may involve grant writing.)
Supervises patient navigators. Develops processes and evaluation of navigation services. Participate in the recruitment, selection, placement, training, and assignment of program staff.
