ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Wash all dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. Help set up dining hall for meals including setting and moving tables and chairs. Assist with meal preparation. Empty trash, sweep, and mop dining hall, dish room, and kitchen. Date and put stock away. Clean bathrooms. Other duties as assigned.

Upholding the YMCAs commitment to the safety and well-being of youth in our programs is a core responsibility of all staff regardless of position.
Attend required abuse risk management training. Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers. Adhere to procedures related to managing and supervising high-risk activities. Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.

Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull trays of food Exposure to heat for extended periods of time from ovens, stoves, hot water, dishwasher, & other kitchen appliances. Works with sharp utensils such as knives and other hazardous kitchen tools Noise level is typically moderate but can at times be loud.
