Job Description:
Work alongside other A&M professionals on the PEPI Software, Technology & Services (STS) team to bring a structured and disciplined approach to create and capture value for our clients. Work on a wide variety of complex assignments ranging across the full spectrum of the deal lifecycle from pre-deal commercial dilgence and synergy reviews for growth strategy and value creation. Lead and deliver large complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions to establish bespoke buy / sell-side investment / M&A rationale for STS focused corporate and private equity clients, including their portfolio companies. Lead end-to-end management and execution of projects within the Commercial Due Diligence practice, including investment theses development, market assessment and growth outlook, voice of customer analysis, competitive landscape assessment and benchmarking, growth adjacency evaluation, post-acquisition synergy assessment, executive reporting, C-Suite communications, client relationship management, leading PE buyer calls, stakeholder management, and project leadership and management. Establish growth strategy for clients that enable expansion across new products, geographies, markets, and technologies, to drive enhanced value creation, top line expansion, and margin improvement for clients to establish strong competitive differentiation and market resilience. Conduct operational due diligence, identify key client business issues, determine client needs by supplementing standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluate and validate analyses, and develop recommendations for clients in the context of the overall engagement. Lead commercial due diligence for PE and corporate clients and oversee the development of market studies and strategic investment recommendations. Domestic travel up to approx. 50% of time.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or related field and minimum 2 years of [or a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent as stated above and 5 years of] professional consulting experience as Manager, Engagement Manager or related. Experience must include: consulting for software and technology-oriented clients; performing buy-side and sell-side commercial due diligence and synergy assessments; establishing and driving long-term revenue and profitability growth initiatives; financial analysis including evaluating three statement models, balance sheets, income statements and cashflows; developing market and financial models and growth projections; leading end-to-end project execution; managing external market research vendors; running primary customer and competitor research campaigns; program management and leadership experience; and designing and leading the execution of internal and external change and communications strategies.
