Your Role: Maintenance & Calibration Technician
The Maintenance/Calibration Technician will perform maintenance/calibration duties within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility. All work needs to be completed with the highest standards. Safety, Quality and good documentation practices are a must.
Your Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain all facility equipment, including boilers, HVAC systems, purified water systems, air compressors/dryers, wastewater treatment, refrigeration, and plumbing, as well as production equipment such as tanks, mixers, reactors, pumps, filters, washers, sterilizers, fillers, and solids processing machinery.
Assist in the construction and validation of a cGMP manufacturing facility, including managing and implementing the site calibration program.
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment according to the maintenance management system and perform specific instrument calibrations (temperature, pressure, flow) while documenting within the calibration system.
Procure and direct outside contractors for specialized activities such as validations, calibrations, filter certifications, and lab instrument certifications. Serve as a key administrator for the building management system.
Adhere to all applicable SOPs and complete training in occupational safety and health programs (including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and fall protection). Responsible for training others on applicable SOPs.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
High School diploma or GED
Broad knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC maintenance and repair
Willing to obtain an EPA refrigerant certification
What Will Give You the Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in pharmaceutical plant maintenance and calibration
Experience with PLC (Programmed Logic Controller) troubleshooting, programing and wiring
Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) manufacturing maintenance and documentation
Previous industrial plant safety training is preferred
Previous experience with utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is preferred
Refrigeration systems experience
Additional Information:
The position requires the employee to come to the site in Elwood, KS Monday through Friday during business hours with occasional weekend/holiday work as required
There will be days when the employee is required to work longer than 8 hours depending on workload
Employee will be required to lift heavy loads of 50 lbs or more
Employee will be required to climb ladders and work on the rooftop of the building
