Johnsonville, LLC Sanitation Leader Pay Range: $35.32/hr - $44.62/hr + $2.00 Shift Premium Hours: 9:00pm - 5:00am, Sunday-Thursday (Overtime as production demands) Position Overview: The Sanitation Leader will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all sanitation activities within the facility. This includes managing schedules, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and leading the sanitation team to maintain a hygienic environment that meets regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety practices and experience leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will act as a role model and educator of the Johnsonville Way thus facilitating this as "a way of life" within the facility. Responsibilities:
Exemplify and advocate the Johnsonville Way every day
Oversee daily activities and month-to-month planning to achieve facility targets.
Identify and implement continuous improvement efforts that proactively increase team efficiency and productivity.
Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to develop capital, budget, and strategic plans for the Sanitation area
Promote and instill a culture of safety, personal learning and professional development of the Team Leader and Members within the department
Assess trends within results in the areas of (Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Customer Service) and with the assistance of the Sanitation Members define action plans for improvement
Facilitate and drive goal and objective planning with Members in the department
In conjunction with the Team Leader, lead hiring teams and processes within the department
Dual ownership with the Team Leader as it relates to Member performance issues, annual reviews, PDC's and Member development
Lead sanitary design efforts for the facility on both new and existing equipment as well as act as educator of the principles to the rest of the Riverside facility
Lead efforts and continuous improvement programs around the facility master sanitation schedule, pest control program, environmental swab compliance, and pre-operational swab compliance
Lead efforts to identify and implement metrics of success as it relates to our sanitation practices
Lead efforts to create and sustain readiness pipelines within your area of responsibility
Create and sustain an environment that ensures member involvement and implementation of programs, ideas, and guidelines
Ensure compliance with USDA standards and follow up to action items in USDA walkthroughs.
Lead Reliability Excellence systems and efforts each year for the Sanitation area
Serve as a direct coach to the Sanitation Team Leader and sanitation members, and oversee all sanitation functions of the facility
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership/coaching role with proven ability in developing Members to greater levels of responsibility
Minimum 2 years of experience in sanitation principles preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred (experience and business knowledge will be considered for internal candidates)
Experience in the food industry is required
Demonstrated success and experience in Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement disciplines preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in budgeting, capital planning, and, preferred
Demonstrated communication and listening skills
Commitment to personal growth as well as the proven ability to develop those around you to higher levels of responsibility
Ability to lead by example and involve others in the decision-making process
Demonstrated drive to achieve results
Proven ability to motivate others and affect change
Proven track record of project management success
Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
