Jamul House is a crisis stabilization and assessment program for youth with developmental disabilities and/or autism. It is a joint venture between Fred Finch Youth & Family Services the San Diego Regional Center, and a Housing Development Corporation

The program serves male and female clients, ages 12 through 17, who are in crisis, are Regional Center clients, and are approved for placement by the Placement Coordinator at the San Diego Regional Center.

The program population derives from two sources: participants who are struggling to be maintained in and out of home care and participants whose family systems are stressed beyond their capacity to maintain the child in their home.

What You Will Do
The Residential Supervisor Crisis Home, works with the Program Manager in monitoring residents within the home as well as staff assigned to the program. The Residential Supervisor Crisis Home is also responsible for assisting the Program Manager with scheduling of staff, crisis intervention, training, interviewing applicants, reference checking, and participating in agency in-service trainings.

Salary Range
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $27.31 and $34.85 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements):
Have at least two (2) years of prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities with challenging behaviors and mental health disorders.Become a Registered Behavior Technician within 90 days of initial employment.B.A. Degree in a social science field or equivalent years experience working in residential setting with similar population.Meet the minimum training and experience requirements of CAs Division of Community Care Licensing.Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children or youth to provide care, treatment and services.Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.Clean driving record and current CA Drivers License or ability to obtain within 10 days after hire. Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and/or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems.
Preferred:
BCaBA certification.Two (2) or more years of supervisory or program manager experience.Three (3) or more years of residential, crisis home or psychiatric hospital experience.Experience with or knowledge of supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral health interventions.Familiar with assessment tools applicable to developmental disabilities.Demonstrated competence in learning theory and behavioral principles and techniques.Demonstrated competence in collecting and interpreting descriptive data (e.g., ABC data), experience in functional analysis.
