What you will do
We are looking for an astute, determined professional like you to fulfill a Technical Lead role within our Operations Technology Solutions Group. Our technology group is a dynamic, fast-paced and tech forward organization, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership.
We are looking for strong software engineers to build our future operations platforms. Our ideal candidate will have a background in building complex systems in Java, Python, and JavaScript leveraging AWS or Azure cloud components.
You will showcase your success through collaboration, ownership, and innovation. Your expertise in emerging trends and practices will evoke stimulating discussions around optimization and change to help keep our competitive edge. What you can expect
As a Vice President, Operations Tech Lead, you will partner with product owners, designers, engineers and business partners to deliver solutions to our Operations teams.
You will provide leadership on end-to-end delivery of solutions
Lead, mentor and coach the technical teams as you implement solutions to sophisticated business problems
Build and maintain architecture to support data integrations with 3rd party vendors, internal systems and BlackRock Aladdin
Build and maintain proprietary systems to support operations business workflows
Implement and integrate 3rd Party tools for fit-for-purpose operations functions
What you will bring
Proven experience in a senior technology/engineering role.
In depth understanding of fixed income investment management domain
10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and operating applications and data. At least 5 years of that in cloud environments
Strong knowledge of database design, data structures, and algorithms.
Broad experience building solutions with quick time to market
Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java.
Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS).
Must have strong skills and working experience with Java, Python and API build outs, GraphQL
Familiarity with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams across the organization.
Strong process mindset to build and operate auditable processes for change management and inventory of technology assets

The salary range for this role is from $150,000 to $225,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
