Imaging Scheduler Flow Coordinator (Healthcare)
Initiates process for all incoming and outgoing orders for Imaging
Ensures all appropriate clinical records are obtained prior to patient appointment
Ensures all necessary referral orders are obtain prior to scheduling appointment
Competent in administrative functions of Electronic Medical Records
Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
Serves as the one of the primary persons for external resources to schedule new Imaging appointments
Communicates with ordering physician/clinic and patient to acknowledge receipt of order and request additional information as needed.
Register patient in all necessary programs.
Properly organize information and submit to appropriate CARTI team member for scheduling.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
High school graduate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Minimum of two years' experience working in a medical office setting
Experience scheduling patient appointments
Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of gathering, interpreting and reporting insurance information
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports, and correspondence
Basic computer and office equipment skills
Technical skills and knowledge to properly schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
Time management and organizational skills
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.
Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
