Material Handler - Transportation (Transportation)

The Material Handler - Transportation is responsible for moving, storing, and managing various materials for transformers. They play a key role in the supply chain and logistics, ensuring that products are available to the team when needed and that shipments are on time and meet quality standards. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.

Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory and staging finished product for final distribution.

Locates transformers listed on load manifest and stages for shipment.

Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.

Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.

Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials

Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.

Inspect outgoing finished goods for quality, quantity, and accuracy of shipment.

Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in assigned area.

Handling documentation of bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials.

Maintains finished goods inventory by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

Maintain inventory transactions and perform cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels.

Assist with inventory control and audits as needed.

Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.

Other assigned duties as needed.
