Operational Risk Analytics Intern (Finance)



Enterprise Risk Management is seeking a well-qualified individual to support the Operational Risk Management (ORM) team in the execution of its varied responsibilities, such as operational incident reviews, capital planning, risk appetite monitoring, Risk and Control Self-Assessment enhancement, key risk indicator monitoring, risk measurement, data engineering, data science and risk reporting.

The Operational Risk intern should possess solid analytical and logical skills to support the ORM team on a diverse portfolio of projects pertaining to the mitigation of operational risk at State Street. Activities throughout the summer may include individual and team projects, supporting key deliverables and initiatives, and attending and participating in learning events related to ERM and the larger organization. The preferred candidate will have many of the qualifications below:

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter who is able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with a good attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with and build relationships with people from various departments and levels of seniority
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and form independent judgments, experience wit data science tool and languages
  • Interest in learning about State Street and the banking / financial services industry
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Solid capabilities with the MS Office suite of tools

Salary Range:
$15,600 - $58,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
