Lead SAP IT Business Analyst, Finance (Remote/Flexible) (Finance)

Position Overview:
The Lead SAP IT Business Analyst, Finance, is a critical member of the IT Corporate & Commercial Systems Team and reports to the Senior Manager Global IT Corporate Systems. Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will support communication with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, conduct business process reviews, develop test plans and act as a bridge between SAP functional teams and the business teams. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to comprehend end-to-end finance business processes and understand cross-functional processes that integrate with Finance and Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate and oversee multiple complex projects, including cross-functional projects where a high degree of judgment and independence are required in developing solutions and resolving unusual problem situations.
  • Acts independently to determine new methods and procedures to create a positive impact in improving the finance and accounting functions.
  • Preserves the integrity of the SAP S4 HANA global template and its continuity across the Insulet organization.
  • Provide substantial inputs for process improvement initiatives, contribute to the process improvement business cases presented and provide guidance to the senior management of Insulet.
  • Help business process owners to prepare business cases for large enhancements and projects.
  • Perform complex business and systems analysis work; conduct requirements gathering/analysis via information gathering sessions with business users and technical staff. Develop supporting process flows and documentation specifications.
  • Conduct analysis of existing business processes; recommend process improvements.
  • Implement new business process solutions in SAP S/4 HANA related to Finance process improvements.
  • Responsible for providing data expertise and consulting related to operational reporting and analytics using, Analytics for Office, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Group reporting.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions with business users to improve adoption and efficient use of all systems related to the Finance and Accounting job functions.
  • Assist in the evaluation of third party tools for feasibility and impact to the business.
  • Work with Corporate systems team to support design and implementation of integrations between SAP S/4 HANA and external systems.
  • Communicate effectively with business users on the status of enhancements and projects.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans with users, coordinate test activities and/or help execute test components.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Consult with business users to improve adoption and efficient use of all systems related to Finance job functions
  • Ability to act as a product owner for the SAP FICO workstream

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in a Business Analyst / Functional role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in any version of SAP.
  • Experience with S/4 HANA is a plus
  • Experience working for a public company with international experience is strongly desired.
  • Excellent understanding of global business environment, products and processes.
  • Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Knowledge of the following systems and/or processes is a plus:
    • Inter-Company Transactions and International Accounting
    • 4PL Integrations for Finance
    • Inventory Costing/Production costing
    • Order to Cash
    • Procure to Pay
    • OpenText Vendor Invoice Management
    • Month end/Year end close procedures
    • Bank Integrations
    • Consolidations and Financial Reporting using SAC and Group Reporting
  • Experience supporting or working with/within Finance organizations, preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or any other regulatory controlled industry.

Physical Requirements:

  • Less than 15% Travel

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $94,200.00 - $141,600.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
