Programmer (Information Technology)
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
The Programmer will be responsible for supporting and advancing the companys technology infrastructure, focusing on optimizing processes, eliminating inefficiencies, and leveraging AI-driven solutions. Key responsibilities include:
Systems integration: Work on projects aimed at connecting various internal systems to streamline processes, reduce unnecessary data entry, and eliminate duplication.Process improvement and automation: Analyze existing processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas where automation or technology can improve efficiency.AI solution implementation: Advise on potential AI applications that can advance the organization and lead the implementation of AI-driven projects.Data integrity and maintenance: Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all integrated systems and provide ongoing technical support for system upgrades and enhancements.Collaborate with contractors and vendors: Work closely with third-party vendors/contractors to ensure successful project handoffs and continued system performance.Technical documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation of system integrations, processes, and project developments.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).Training and exposure to programming best practices in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript, or similar. Exposure to system integration, process automation, or data management.Familiarity with financial systems and processes is a plus, but not required.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with AI concepts and tools is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FT William or similar financial software systems.Prior experience working in a financial, retirement, or TPA environment.Knowledge of API integrations and data mapping techniques.Strong Proficiency in Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript, or similarStrong understanding of AI and automation technologies.
