Supervisor, Inventory Control (Finance)
Under the direction of the Operations Management, the Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of inventory storage areas. This role ensures the proper issuance, return, and maintenance of materials, tools, supplies, and equipment required for production activities. The D Building supervisor will lead a team to maintain accurate records, enforce company policies, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
The Nuts and Bolts
• Maintain a safe work environment; respond to safety issues with urgency
• Conduct regular safety checks and training for D-Building personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard free workplace
• Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure availability of material, equipment, and supplies
• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile discrepancies
• Implement inventory management best practices to minimize waste and optimize costs
• Maintain work skills to facilitate job performance as a working member of the team, and to be aware of the required skills for team members
• Direct the work of direct and indirect Production Hourly Team Members including training employees on required job functions
• Assign work to each employee to maintain high productivity and skill levels
• Establish quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage the work schedule to achieve delivery requirements to both internal and external customers
• Coach and counsel employees to improve performance
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to forecast supply needs
• Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions
• Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels and operational support
• Responsible for tracking key metrics; maintain daily boards; complete reporting (employee evaluations; time and attendance, safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and labor)
• Participate in interview process for hourly candidates
Required Credentials
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Minimum of (3) years prior experience leading an hourly skilled trade workforce
• High School diploma or GED
