Our Data Scientist roles are unique. The ideal candidate is a rare hybrid, a scientist with the programming abilities to scrape, combine, and manage data from a variety of sources and a statistician who knows how to derive insights from the information within. They will combine the skills to create new prototypes with the creativity and thoroughness to ask and answer the deepest questions about the data, what secrets it holds, and to push the boundaries of what is possible with big data. What You'll Do:
Data Quality Management:
Utilize SQL and data visualization to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues and anomalies, assessing their business impact.
Design and implement data monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and prevent data anomalies.
Conduct data quality audits, document investigations, and implement process improvements to ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement data fixes and preventative measures, including the development of data validation rules.
Be responsible for implementing and overseeing data corrections to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Data Analysis and Communication:
Analyze data, logs, and system outputs to pinpoint the root cause of discrepancies and evaluate potential downstream effects.
Independently prepare datasets, conduct advanced analytics, and develop solutions using data structures, algorithms, and models.
Package, visualize, and present analytical findings to management and stakeholders, clearly articulating the business impact.
Team Contribution:
Review and guide the work of peers and junior data scientists.
