JOB SUMMARY
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated feed mill equipment. Perform jobs that require a multi-crafted individual such as electrical, mechanical, fabrication to include welding, pipefitting, millwright, etc.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) non-exempt position.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. There are no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teardown, rebuild, and re-assembling machinery and equipment
• Run conduit, size wire, and breakers and install as needed
• Change relays, contactors, and breakers as needed
• Fabricating machine parts; cutting and welding
• Rigging with hoist and other lifting devices
• Aligning motor couplings, sprockets, and sheaves
• Minor feed truck and forklift repair and maintenance
• Troubleshoot, maintenance, repair and testing of equipment such as elevators, conveyors, air compressors, compressed air system and drier, boiler, drags, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, temp switches, thermocouples, HVAC controls, screw conveyors, PLC
• Change out drives and set up for process.
• Maintain 480 Volt 3 phase equipment including soft starts and motors up to 800 hp
• Instrumentation work such as installing and adjusting current transducers, level ,and speed switches
• Lighting system maintenance such as changing MH and HPS lights and ballast
• Hook up PC equipment ,open and clean PC's as required
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Minor programing of Allen-Bradly SLC 500 series such as adding timers to current logic and such
• Maintenance and rebuilding of speed reducers and gearboxes including planetary drives
• Calibrate scale equipment such as impact scales and flow meters

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5 years' experience as an Electronic Technician
• 2 year associates degree in Electricity-Electronics
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
• Position involves light to medium walking, standing, stooping, carrying and lifting of medium to heavyweight materials (up to 75 pounds).
• Requires visual acuity to read numbers, letters, and images; depth perception; hand and finger dexterity to use a keyboard at an advanced rate, and hand-eye coordination.
• Requires speaking and hearing ability sufficient to hear over phone and carry on routine conversations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Heights, dusty, confined space, and working outdoors
