Job Description
Environmental Engineering/Science, Environmental Geochemistry/Soil Chemistry Postdoctoral Associate Job Description Plans and conducts assigned and/or original environmental research projects under the guidance of Prof. Dibs Sarkar in the Environmental Sustainability Laboratory at Stevens Institute of Technology while working collaboratively with other postdocs and students. Primary responsibility will be working on two federally funded projects, one on applying green technologies for remediation of PFAS-contaminated soil and water, and the other on developing and implementing watershed management plans for restoration of eutrophic lakes suffering from excess nutrient input. Position will start as soon as possible but no later than October 1. Salary is commensurate with experience. Stevens offers excellent benefits to postdocs. Candidates with a PhD in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental geochemistry, soil chemistry, and materials science will be considered. Experience in batch sorption experiments, column experiments, surface complexation modeling is required. A fresh PhD graduate with research experience in PFAS remediation and/or green infrastructure design will be preferred.
