Position Summary
The Foreman plays a crucial role in supporting vineyard operations by overseeing daily activities and ensuring efficient utilization of resources. This hands-on position requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The Foreman organizes staff, executes daily tasks and maintains compliance with HR and EH&S requirements. Additionally, the Foreman collaborates with supervisors to uphold a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise vineyard operators in daily work programs, providing clear instructions and guidance as needed.
• Monitor labor crews on a daily to ensure quality of work and track progress.
• Organize and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency in vineyard operations.
• Ensure that all activities are recorded accurately and kept up to date, maintaining thorough documentation of tasks and progress.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery, identifying any maintenance or repair needs and reporting them promptly to the Vineyard Supervisor.
• Assist in the execution of daily harvest logistics, including coordinating harvesting activities, managing equipment, and overseeing loading and transportation operations.
• Ensure compliance with all HR and regulatory programs, including safety protocols, ensuring that all team members adhere to established guidelines.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork among vineyard operators, leading by example in adherence to best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with the Vineyard Supervisor to prioritize work schedules and allocate resources based on operational needs and priorities.
• Provide support and assistance to vineyard operators in performing their duties, offering training, guidance, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and suggestions for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support in the movement of materials and equipment as needed, coordinating logistics and ensuring timely delivery to work sites.
• Act as a liaison between vineyard operators and management, communicating feedback, concerns, and suggestions to the Vineyard Supervisor as appropriate.
• Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, always promoting a safe and productive work environment.
• Perform any other duties as reasonably required, leveraging experience and expertise to support the overall success of the department.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of agriculture operations experience.
• Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willing and able to work overtime, irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours, particularly during harvest.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to read and write English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• QAL Certified.
• Bilingual-English/Spanish.
• Basic computer skills.
• Eagerness to learn and work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed.
• Basic organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.
• Enthusiastic attitude, willingness to take on new tasks and learn from experiences.
• Positive attitude and willingness to build relationships with team members and supervisors.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals.
• Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic.
• Must be able to move up to 45 lbs.
• Primary office environment may be warehouse/distribution setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

$25.85 - $40.43
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
