General Purpose
The Telecom Manager is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of telecom systems at PACS and its affiliates. In their role they will coordinate with stakeholders and end-users to develop, deploy, and manage effective telephony technology solutions in a health care setting, meeting regulatory requirements and restrictions.
Essential Duties
Technical
• Administer and manage configurations of existing telecom systems with an emphasis on optimizing performance and usability.
• Ensure telecom systems are regularly maintained and upgraded to ensure a healthy and secure system meeting regulatory requirements.
• Manage telecom inventory and monitor hardware health.
• Manage and maintain POTS and VoIP telephony solutions for remote locations.
• Manage and maintain eFax solutions with consideration for regulatory compliance requirements.
• Design and plan telecom networks that meet the current and future needs & requirements of locations in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide expert consultation with buildings on their phone, PA, over-head, fire, and security system designs and implementations where applicable; including, network requirements, wiring, vendor coordination, bbilling support
• Provide consultation on other phone systems as necessary.
Project Management
• Maintain business telecommunications programs and identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to implement and deploy new telecom systems with minimal impact on business and patient care activities.
• Develop documentation and training for staff and end-users to effectively use telecom systems.
Management
• Provide reports to leadership and stakeholders on the status and performance of telecom systems.
• Manage vendor relations and activities as it relates to telecommunication technologies and solutions.
• Assist with management of vendors and suppliers of telecom services and hardware.
• Manage staff on the telecom team and coordinate their projects and assignments
• Manage costs and billing activities to ensure costs hit the proper cost centers and expenses are optimized.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with other business teams and units.

Qualification
Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - 5 + years of experience managing telecom systems. - Experience with telecom network design and implementation - Experience managing projects from conception to completion.
Language Skills - Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience supervising technical staff. - Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, documentation, and end-user training.
Reasoning Ability
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - ITIL Foundation or equivalent (preferred). - Telecommunications certifications such as CCNA Voice, Avaya Certified, or similar. - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (optional but beneficial).
