Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Determines space requirements and position of shipments in trucks and lays out position of shipment. Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits.
Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals of truck doors.
Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
Maintains vehicle maintenance report.
Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas. Compiles records of unfilled orders.
Prepares bills of lading.
May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities.
Assist in being the point of contact for production and other departments in the Lakeville plant.
Assist in staying compliance with BRC while driving for continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
Prior Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting,
Proficient in Microsoft tools, SAP and Outlook.
Preferred experience in shipping and receiving,
Prior experience in manufacturing or supply chain,
Strong oral and written communication skills,
Experience in supervising, leading, coaching and mentoring a team,
Proactive problem solver and ability to manage projects to completion,
Flexible and open to idea sharing.
Compensation & benefits:
The starting wage for this position is $31.90/hour, plus $1.50/hour shift differential
