Staff Auditor (Finance)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with audit scope and conducts independent internal audits of risk management, corporate processes, marina operations, regulatory compliance requirements, technology capabilities, and process effectivenessAbility to draw logical conclusions from control testing performed as well as effectively communicate those recommendations to managementReports audit results and recommendations regarding appropriateness of policies, controls, and compliance with established operating standards to focus department activities and management attention on potential risk areasCollects and analyzes data to identify risks, process breakdowns and trends that reduce quality and accuracySupport group deliverables for management and compliance reporting requirementsAbility to travel approximately 30%Perform other duties as assigned
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA, CIA or CFE or working towards certification with commitment to complete certification within 1 year of hireOne (1) to three (3) years of public accounting and/or internal audit industry experienceOne (1) year Sarbanes-Oxley experienceUnderstanding of internal control frameworks, audit standards, GAAP accounting concepts, and Sarbanes-OxleyData analytic skills; ability to retrieve system data, summarize, classify, identify trends and outliers, interpret, present, and report.Knowledge and experience with AuditBoard, Galvanize/ACL, NetSuite and/or Blackline is a plus
