Project Engineer (Engineering)
Performance Indicators
Develop and deliver accurate work scope proposals each week, to include comprehensive technical specifications and accurate cost estimates.Partner and collaborate with Sales Team, Project Managers and Trade Directors during development of proposals and change orders.All technical specifications will meet classification society and quality certification inspections.
Required Skills:
Possess technical knowledge of yachtoperations and shipbuilding process in order to engage with technical leadersin the industry. Knowledge of fabrication and production processes of shipconstruction. Advanced knowledge of shipbuilding, Ship systems and ship repair methodologies. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Knowledge ofcomputer software applications (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, andOutlook). Knowledge of AutoCAD, and Adobe.Manipulate,modify and change AutoCAD drawings. Knowledge of Flag state (IMO, MARPOL, SOLAS, LY3, etc) and Classification rules and regulations (Lloyds, ABS, DNV, etc). Any suitable combination of education, trainingor experience is acceptable.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
Bachelors Degree or foreign equivalent in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field plus 4 years of related experience in naval architecture and design.Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
