Position Summary:
The School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction beginning on August 7, 2025. The position is for the 2025-2026 academic year with possible extension for a second and/or third year. The salary for this position is $50,000. Position is open until filled. Application review will begin on May 12, 2025.
The School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies is an academic unit in the College of Arts & Sciences. It consists of four academic programs - Political Science, International Studies, Africana Studies, and Latin American & Caribbean Studies - which act collaboratively to promote global teaching, research, and engagement.

PhD degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:

The remaining courses depend on the successful candidate's area of specialization and could include graduate courses.
